HTML: BEGINNING ALL STARTS
The combination of English HTML letters has long been heard by everyone. Moreover, any novice user who barely mastered Word, without a twinge of conscience, will weave them into his speech. However, what is this and why, many find it difficult to answer. Although the suspicion that HTML is the first violin in the orchestra that creates web pages is fully justified.
HTML was created in 1990 by a scientist, Tim Burns-Lee. This system was intended to facilitate the exchange of documents between scientists of various universities. The ubiquitous success of the new invention has made it the core of the modern Internet. Today it is the official language adopted by the worldwide network for creating and publishing web pages. The acronym HTML stands for Hyper Text Mark-upLanguage, which literally translates as “hypertext markup language.” It is the main tool for including headings, text, tables, photos, video clips, sounds and other external objects in web documents. In addition, HTML links to hyperlinks. In a word, if you decide to order the production of a site, make sure you are working with specialists for whom HTML is literally a second language. Alternatively, you can master it yourself.
Creating HTML documents begins with the choice of a text editor or specialized HTML editors and converters. To say which program is best suited is difficult. It all depends on the personal preferences of the author and his ideas about how to build effective work. But there is no doubt about this, that the main concept that you will have to deal with is tags. These are labels that give the browser guidance in which form it is necessary to display the specified information: fonts, paragraphs, headings, figures, etc. This is especially important for further search engine promotion of a website.
In essence, HTML is a set of tags that need to be built in a certain order. All tags have the same format. They begin with a “<” and end with a “>”. As a rule, there is a start tag and a ending tag. The latter differs from the first by the presence in parentheses before the word slash. Between the start and end tags is actually the information itself, which we want to publish.
When the browser only receives the document, it automatically determines how to decode it. Therefore, the first tag that appears in the document should be. It indicates that it was with its help that the given text or graphic fragment was created. Accordingly, the last tag will look like. Among the main, but far from the only tags are the following.
A – used to create links.
B – sets the bold face of the text.
BODY – designed to store the contents of a web page (content) displayed in a browser window.
BR- sets text wrapping to another line.
HEAD – designed to store other elements whose purpose is to help the browser work with data.
HR- draws a horizontal line, which in its appearance depends on the parameters used, as well as the browser.
I- sets italics.
IMG – is intended for displaying images in the graphic format GIF, JPEG or PNG on a web page.
P- defines a text paragraph.
TITLE – defines the title of the document.
This is just that small part of the tags that are necessary to create a complete document. Tags determine the place of quotes, table parameters, allow you to reduce or enlarge text at certain positions, cross out and underline it, create buttons and establish a connection with an external document, etc. HTML in combination with other programs allows you to create a unique web site design that can claim high positions in the ranking of search queries.
